With the New Race Season coming up for 2008 we are currently reviewing new classes and new rules to have the most fun while keeping us safe. Please use the rules below only as a reference until we get everything finalized for a fun and exciting 2008 racing season!

10.5 Tire

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Small block - 2800 lbs. minimum*

Big block - 3000 lbs minimum*

*weights subject to change if a particular cars combination has an unfair advantage

POWER ADDERS:

NOS, Blower, Turbo allowed.

No two power adders allowed in conjunction with another.

Blowers - 14-71 on alcohol limited to 30%
              - 12-71 limited to 40%.

Turbos - 101mm single turbo MAX or two 76mm in twin applications

TIRES:

Racing slicks are limited to a maximum sidewall designation of 10.5 inches in width.

Tire combos with a diameter of less than 31 inches may take 100lbs off the base weight of their car.

CHASSIS:

Any engine setback is discouraged and will have to add ballast to the front of the car.
The amount of weight to be added is dependent upon the amount of the setback.
Stock firewalls preferred.

Round tube cars are to be "Back-halved only" and must follow NMCA type rules.

Real Street

All cars must be registered, inspected, licensed and insured.

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Small block - 2800*

Big block - 3000*

POWER ADDERS:

No two power adders allowed in conjunction with another.

Blowers - 10-71 MAX

Turbos - 94mm single MAX, or two 66mm MAX in twin applications

No alcohol fuel permitted.

CHASSIS:

Back half combos or stock suspension only. No full tube cars.

Must have factory edges of firewall.

Windshields must be factory glass.

Engine must be in stock location.

Transmissions - Any oem type transmission is allowed. No clutchless.

TIRES:
D.O.T. tires on rear. Any tire permited on front.

Big tire back half combos may use only one system but may have multiple stages.
*No plate and fogger to be used together.

No tow backs to pits.

Drag Radial

This is an entry level budget minded class meant for true street cars.

All cars must have current registration, insurance and inspection.

All cars must meet normal inspection guidelines;
i.e. working lights, horns, windshield wipers, etc...

1) Cars must have stock body limiting use of fiberglass to the hood, deck-lid, and front bumper.
- No forward facing scoops unless they are factory.

2) Lettering restricted to windows only.

3) Must have stock firewall.

4) Interior must have front buckets or bench seats.

5) Must have carpet to front of back seats.

6) Must have completed door panels. - Aluminum acceptable but must be finished off

7) Factory glass must be operational.

8) Suspension: Bolt on traction devices only. No race style coil-overs.

9) Mini tubs okay. No full size race tubs.

10)Stock frame rails, sub-frame connectors, and notching of frame for tires ok

11)Tires: D.O.T. drag radial only! Rear limited to a 275 series. Any front tire ok

12)Transmissions: OEM only.

13)Electronics: No progressive system which control NOS. They must be removed from car
- No electronic or automatic boost controllers.
- No electronic waste-gate controls on turbo combos

14)Power adders: Single power adder only.
Limited blower and turbo sizes. No Foggers permitted.
- Turbos - 60mm MAX
- Blowers - Equivalent blower sizes ok
- Single stage NOS plate. No Foggers permitted.

15)Exhaust must aim from car

16)Gasoline only.

17)Weights:
Small block no power adder - 2800lbs.
Small block w/NOS - 3200 lbs w driver*
Small block w/turbo or blower - 3300 lbs w driver*

Big block no power adder - 3000 lbs w driver
Big block with power adder - 3400 lbs w driver*

There is a Cruise challenge condition with this class. All cars should be able to complete a 25 to 50 mile cruise under normal street conditions. If a car is challenged by another qualified competitor, a cruise will be set up with both cars. If the car is proven street worthy, the challenger will pay a $50 dollar challenge fee. If the car cannot complete the cruise, the car forfeits winnings and points from the event. There may be a pop-up cruise given by the N.P.S.S at any time at our discretion.
